Media Workshop for Artists and Performers: How to Promote Your Arts Event in 2012
Washington County artists, performers, and arts and culture organizations will correctly identify newsworthy activities that the media will receive enthusiastically. This workshop features two panels and provides an opportunity for audience questions.

PANEL #1 – Multi-media representatives share how they promote events and what events they promote. Panelists include: Mikel Kelly (Special Sections Editor of the Beaverton Valley Times), Cindy Dauer (Editor of the Washington County Review), Michelle Thomas (Washington County Arts Guide), Tom Doggett (retired OPB Vice President of Television Programming) and Kevin Howard (Community Programming Coordinator at TVCTV)

PANEL #2 – Marketing representatives/volunteers from peer arts organizations will describe what is working best for them. Panelists include: Sylke Neal-Finnegan (Director of Marketing & Communications at the Washington County Visitors Association) and Donna Sanson (Visual Artist). Additional Panelists are still being confirmed.

Cost: $30 (Become a WCA Friend for $25 and workshop admission is free for individuals. Organizations become friends for $50 and receive free workshop admission for 4 people.)
